Willows, Wisconsin is the fictional location where Barbie is from.[1] Ken is also from Willows[2], and so is Midge. Barbie and Midge grew up in Willows together,[3] and Barbie attended Willows High.[4] In 2015, Barbie's backstory was retconned so that instead of being living in Willows long enough to attend Willows High, Barbie moved to Malibu, California at age 8 and met Ken because they were neighbors (according to the vlog "Barbie: DRAW MY LIFE!"). They attend Golden Beach High in Los Angeles. The Willows, WI Collection is a Willows-inspired collection of dolls.[5] Willows is the setting of Barbie & Her Sisters in the Great Puppy Adventure, a movie released in 2015, and also the video game based on the movie, Barbie & Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue. In the movie, it is shown that Christie lives in Willows and was Barbie's childhood friend.
