In the early 2000s, Taffy was one of Barbie's dogs, but was an adult dog, often appearing as a Golden Retriever or a Labrador Retriever. Sometimes Taffy was male. Taffy was often featured as Barbie's dog alongside Sequin the Poodle who was introduced in A Fashion Fairytale, Lacey the Chihuahua, and Ruff the French Bulldog. Taffy later came back in Barbie & Her Sisters in the Great Puppy Adventure (Movie) as a female puppy.
