This was the first doll to feature bendable legs and open and close eyes. Another first — Barbie® doll had molded hair, not rooted, and came with three wigs (titian, blond, brunette). The swimsuit for Miss Barbie® was available in three colorations. The ruffled flounce attached to the knit suit in either solid pink, pink with golden glitter dots, or pink with golden printed-on dots. She came dressed in a pink and sparkle fringe swim cap and pink open-toe shoes.
