Mermaid is a face sculpt patented in 2011 and first introduced with Linda Kyaw's The Mermaid Barbie in 2012.

For the Mermaid doll she was designing, Linda Kyaw could not decide on what face mold she wanted to use for the doll, so she instead decided to use a brand new mold for the doll, which became the Mermaid face sculpt, named after the doll. It is a very rare face sculpt that is only used for collector dolls. It is often mistaken for the Christian Louboutin (Face Sculpt ©2009) face due to how similar they are.
