Kentucky Derby / Aphrodite, sometimes called the Open-Mouthed Mackie face, is a face sculpt patented in 2008 and first introduced with the Kentucky Derby Barbie in 2009, followed by the Aphrodite Barbie shortly after.

For the Kentucky Derby Barbie, Mattel modified the Bob Mackie (Face Sculpt ©1991) face with an open mouth and first introduced it with her, followed by the Aphrodite Barbie from the Greek Goddess Series immediately after. It was for collector dolls only, as an open-mouthed alternative to the Mackie face. Though the Kentucky Derby Barbie introduced the face first, it is more commonly referred to as the Aphrodite face as it was the more popular doll.
