Kira is one of the characters in the Barbie line. She replaced Miko, who had been produced with the same face mold. In the 1999 picture book Mystery of the Emperor's Teapot, Kira is said to be of Japanese heritage. In the early 2000s, she was discontinued and replaced by Lea. She made a brief reappearance in 2005 as part of the Fashion Fever line, but with the Lea face mold.[1]
