"Barbie is in true, sugar-sweet form as children guide her through seven limited but somewhat entertaining beach games. The best, by far, is the open-ended sand castle activity in which children use a variety of bucket shapes and decorations to make picturesque creations.
Castles are unfortunately not printable, but kids can snap pictures for an onscreen photo album. Testers enjoyed taking pictures of target animals on a scuba dive. They also liked directing Barbie through gates and up ramps on her water skis, but reported that the navigation keys could have been more responsive.
Some children were entertained by Barbie’s dance activity but several couldn’t figure out what they were supposed to do. Babs sports some sultry dance moves, and while some adult testers found these amusing, others felt these actions were inappropriate. Largely superficial in nature, this new Barbie game is likely to be short-lived, but fun for a little while." (Game Description on oldgamesdownload.com)

Trivia[]
- The game may glitch during all of the dialogue cutscenes depending on your computer (e.g. Windows 11)
- Even if you don't collect all 10 things like Barbie asks in order to continue to the next level, you continue anyway. This is a nice feature implemented for kids and this isn't the first time children's video games have done this.
- The game automatically closes after the credits have rolled.
- Chris Anthony is known for voicing Barbie in over 100 media, from 1994 to 2006. She even looks similar to Barbie!
- Someone named Ashley Seabright and someone with the nickname 'Sly' has worked on this game. Ashley is known for being part of the Additional Crew in The Meg (2018), The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016) and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
