I went online to check today if there would be any new Barbie Movies this year, when I realised that none were released in 2018 and I almost couldn't believe it. I know they may be busy with Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures which I really adore, but it's sad not to have any new movies to enjoy.

I feel like it's a negative idea to create a live action Barbie film with Margot Robbie, or with anyone. I read the script and storyline will be based on Barbie being thrown out of some kind of doll world which really sounds like it's mocking Barbie and just not doing right by her. I definitely prefer the animated adventures.

I am excited to see what they come up with next, regarding animated movies. I had an idea that they could perhaps do a Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures movie, where Barbie finds herself living the same day over and over again, has no idea why and has to figure out how to get her life back.

I also feel like they should perhaps make more movies features around adventures, the city etc. I love the princess movies or films taking place in period times etc but I feel like nobody really wants to be a princess anymore and I'm not quite sure why. I would like more movies like Rock N Royals, Princess and the Popstar, Princess charm school and Fashion fairytale. But I guess I would like a few more princess movies - but something different this time.

What are your thoughts about upcoming movies?

I was wondering if it's possible to email Mattel, just to ask if they have any future plans for more Barbie animated movies or if that's it for the time being but I couldn't actually find a suitable email to them directly.
